In a response to customers’ desire to have a PC with enhanced performance, Microsoft embarked on a program to introduce Quality Tested and Performance Enhanced PCs by partnering with Amazon.com to promote and sell these products during the holiday ‘08 season.
Amazon and Windows needed a holiday PC Demand Generation Program.
Amazon was looking to leverage customer loyalty and enhance their shopper base. They needed to drive consideration and online purchases of a new collection of Windows-based laptop PCs during the holiday season. Amazon needed to be positioned as a preferred online destination for PC purchases.
Laughing Samurai designed an Amazon customer exclusive catalog featuring the Choice PC collection of products that are Microsoft tested and experience-enhanced to drive online traffic. We designed online email campaigns that featured Choice PC products and offers only available on Amazon. We developed an Amazon base sitelet to improve the customer online PC shopping experience, and simplify the decision making process and sell-through. Our design was delivered to over 2 million households.
We delivered the first-of-its-kind integrated PC campaign in partnership with Amazon. The program increased Amazon PC site traffic and PC sell through contributing to the best PC holiday sales season ever in their history.
